Call for 2025-2026 Season Shows

Do you have a passion for working with young talent? Whether you’re an experienced director or a student director eager to make your mark under the guidance of an adult mentor, Regional Performing Arts is seeking creative proposals for our upcoming season. This is your chance to direct a show that will inspire and empower young performers!

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re excited to open this opportunity to both seasoned directors and up-and-coming student directors! If you are:

  • An experienced adult director with a strong theater background, eager to mentor and work with young actors aged 18 and under.
  • A student director (with a mentor) looking to gain valuable hands-on experience and bring fresh ideas to the stage with actors ages 12 and under. (There is no age requirement, but student directors are typically ages 14-18)
  • Someone who has a vision for a production—be it a play, musical, or another type of theatrical work—that is suitable and exciting for young performers.

We welcome a variety of proposals—no restrictions on the type of show as long as it’s age-appropriate and aligned with our mission.

What You Need to Know

  • If your proposal is chosen, you and your production team will need to undergo a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of our young actors.
  • The production you propose should be a great fit for children aged 12 and under, fostering their creativity and growth as performers, while supporting Regional Performing Arts’ commitment to high-quality, engaging theater experiences.

How to Apply

Ready to get started? Here’s how you can submit your proposal:

  1. Submit your show idea: Fill out the proposal form with details about your show, including why you think it would be a great fit for our young performers.
  2. Tell us about your vision: Why do you believe your production will engage and inspire young actors?
  3. Ask us anything: If you have questions or need clarification before submitting, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at admin@regionalperformingarts.org.

Why Should You Apply?

  • Make a difference: This is a unique opportunity to help young performers grow while sharing your creative vision and expertise.
  • Collaborate with talented kids: Work with passionate young actors eager to learn and perform.
  • Support the next generation of directors: If you’re a student director, you’ll gain hands-on experience with the support of an experienced mentor, as well as exposure to working with young talent.

This is your chance to shape the next generation of theater artists. We can’t wait to hear your ideas and see the incredible productions you want to bring to the stage!

Sharing is caring!
