Summer Camp

RPAC is proud to offer theatre workshops for students of varied ages during the summer months. Class offerings include acting and stagecraft of many different types. None of these classes require previous experience and are intended to help teach, nurture and grow young actors in the region.

Show-in-a-Day, June 24

Where? Regional Performing Arts Center, Portage, IN
When? June 24, 2024, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Free performance at 6:00 p.m.

Students will prepare and perform a short show in just one day! Dinner will be provided and complimentary tickets to the performance will be issued to families equally before our performance in the studio theater.

What is the cost of camp?

Camp tuition is $100 ($75 for current members) and includes 9 hours of camping goodness, materials, and participation in our production which is free for family and friends to attend. There are several need-based funding options available.

Does my child need to bring any supplies?

All scripts and crafting materials will be provided for students enrolled in classes that require extra materials at no additional cost. Please pack a sack lunch, dinner will be provided. Your actor is encouraged to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Audition Prep, July 22

Where? Regional Performing Arts Center, Portage, IN
When? July 22, 2024, Noon – 3:00 p.m.

Students will prepare and participate in mock auditions based upon shows for the 2024-2025 RPAC season. Get a leg up for audition day with choreography and character work and participate in Mock Auditions.

What is the cost of camp?

Camp tuition is $75 ($50 for siblings) and includes materials as well as a 2024-2025 Family Membership valued at $25. There are several need-based funding options available.

Does my child need to bring any supplies?

Students should have a prepared/preferred audition song for this workshop. All other materials will be provided for students enrolled. Your actor is encouraged to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Is Audition Prep required to audition during the 2024-2025 season?

No! Regional Performing Arts prides itself on an open and unbiased audition process. Feel free to brush up on your audition skills for an upcoming RPAC show or something completely different! Your actor will develop solid auditioning skills that can be used on any show.
